What happens when you delete your account
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days:
- Your account profile (email, display name, profile picture)
- All quiz sets and flashcard decks you created
- Your study history, scores, and performance statistics
- Any saved documents or content associated with your account
- Subscription and payment history records (billing records required by law may be retained; see below)
How to delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from within the Studiq app:
- Open the Studiq app on your device.
- Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Tap Account, then select Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message. You will be shown exactly what data will be deleted.
- Tap Confirm Delete and enter your password to verify your identity.
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and fully deleted within 30 days.
Once deletion is confirmed in the app, you will receive a confirmation email at your registered address. If you do not receive it within 5 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app (e.g., you've lost your device or forgotten your password), you can request account deletion by filling out the form below or emailing us directly.
Data retention after deletion
After your account is deleted, we will permanently remove all personal data within 30 days. The following limited data may be retained for legal and compliance reasons:
- Transaction records: If you made in-app purchases, we are required by law and Apple/Google payment policies to retain basic transaction records (amount, date, transaction ID) for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Your personal details are not included in these records after deletion.
- Abuse prevention logs: If your account was flagged for Terms of Service violations, minimal records may be retained for up to 12 months to prevent re-registration.
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregate usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you are retained indefinitely.
