1. Introduction
Welcome to Kayndeal ("the App"), a social deal-sharing platform for Morocco developed and operated by Hamza Benmalek ("we," "our," or "us"). Kayndeal allows users to share, vote on, and discover deals from Moroccan e-commerce — powered by a community points system, an advertiser dashboard, and AI-assisted deal ranking.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use Kayndeal. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, chosen username, and optionally a profile picture. If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services as permitted by your settings there.
- User-generated content: Deal listings you post, including title, description, price, merchant name, deal URL, and any images you upload. Comments and votes you cast on other users' deals. This content is visible to other users of the App.
- Points and activity history: Records of points earned and spent, deals you've voted on, deals you've saved, and your community rank.
- Usage data: Screens visited, features used, time spent in the App, search queries, and interactions with deal cards. Used in aggregate to improve recommendations.
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, language preference, timezone, and unique identifiers. Used for push notifications and debugging.
- Location data: We do not collect precise GPS location. We may infer your general region (country) from your IP address to serve relevant deals.
- Advertiser data: If you are an advertiser using the Kayndeal business dashboard, we additionally collect business name, contact information, payment details, and campaign performance data.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Kayndeal platform — display deals, process votes, maintain the points leaderboard, and deliver push notifications.
- Personalize your deal feed using Claude AI to rank and filter deals based on your voting history, saved deals, and browsing behavior.
- Detect and prevent spam, fraudulent deals, and abuse of the points system.
- Allow you to share deal links and invite friends to the platform.
- Send push notifications about new deals in your favorite categories, replies to your posts, and platform updates. You can opt out of notifications in your device settings.
- Provide advertisers with aggregate, anonymized campaign performance metrics (impressions, clicks). We do not share individual user data with advertisers.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
4. Data Storage & Security
All Kayndeal user data is stored on Supabase, a cloud database platform. Servers are located in the European Union and/or the United States. Data transfers outside your home country are protected by appropriate safeguards.
Deal images and user profile pictures are stored in Supabase Storage, a secure object storage service with access control policies ensuring you can only modify your own content.
We implement the following security measures:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit between the App and our servers.
- Row-level security on all database tables — your private data is only accessible to you.
- Hashed, salted passwords — we never store plaintext passwords.
- Rate limiting and anomaly detection to prevent abuse of the voting and points systems.
- Regular security reviews of dependencies and infrastructure.
5. Third-Party Services
Kayndeal integrates with the following third-party services:
- Anthropic Claude AI — used to power deal ranking, content moderation assistance, and smart search. Content submitted by users may be processed by Claude AI. Anthropic Privacy Policy

- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivers push notifications on Android. Firebase Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
6. Public Content & Social Features
Kayndeal is a social platform. Deal posts you publish, comments you write, and your username are publicly visible to all users of the App. Before posting, please do not include personal information (address, phone number, financial details) in deal descriptions or comments.
Votes you cast on deals are recorded but are not publicly attributed to your username — the vote count is public but individual voters are not disclosed.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data as long as your account is active. Specifically:
- Account and profile data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Deal posts: When you delete a post, it is removed from public view immediately and permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- Points history: Retained for the lifetime of your account for leaderboard integrity, then deleted with your account.
- Usage analytics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely; individual event data deleted within 24 months.
- Crash and error logs: Retained for 90 days.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a summary of data we hold about your account.
- Correction: Update your profile information at any time within the App.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data. See our Account Deletion page.
- Portability: Export your deal history and points record as a JSON file. Contact us to request a data export.
- Content removal: Delete your own deal posts and comments at any time from within the App.
- Opt-out of AI processing: Contact us to opt your account out of Claude AI-powered feed personalization. Note this may reduce the relevance of your deal feed.

9. Children's Privacy
Kayndeal is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has registered, we will delete their account promptly. If you believe your child has registered, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and display an in-app notice. Material changes will require your acknowledgment before continued use of the App. Your continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
